Thunderclan Camp

Gingerpool purred as Tumblepaw sat beside her. Gingerpool licked her once.

Darkstar called out, "New cats have arrived from other clans. Shadowclan, Riverclan and Windclan have one warrior" announced Darkstar.

Mooclaw looked surprised, he hadn't known that. Tumblepaw looked up at Moonclaw, wtching his surprised face and then purred and rubbed up closer to her Mom.

(Good, haha)

Gingerpool nodded at Moonclaw. She had suspicines that he would wind up knowing. But Gingerpool was a happy cat and she never was sad or mad. So she humbly snuggled closer to her daughter.

"Does anyone have any comment on this?" demanded Darkrose.

" I do, ShadowClan, RiverClan and WindClan don't have leaders, do they?" spoke up Moonclaw. Tumblepaw looked up at her mentor, she expected him to speak up.

Gingerpool had questions bursting through her mind. She wasn't to tell them that the father of Tumblepaw and her litter now was Riverclan's very own best warrior!

Darkstar glanced at Gingerpool's awkwardness. She pushed that to the back of her mind and returned to Moonclaw's question. "No, they don't" she murmured.

" How could they be warriors?" Tumblepaw spoke up, " Don't they need a leader to have a cermony for the apprentices, to be warriors?" Tumblepaw asked.

"Great question" said Darkstar, perking up a little bit. "Before Thunderclan came, there was the three clans. And a leader. But badgers were multiplying in the forest and since the clans were so young, they didn't know what to do. They all pretty much died" she said, as if she were a kit making up a story.

Gingerpool's fur stuck up on her pelt. She glanced at her daughter and looked at her paws.

" I see..." murmured Moonclaw. " Mommy, what is it?" Tumblepaw asked, seeing her Mother look at her with a werid look.

Darkstar looked at her paws.

Gingerpool was frozen. She didn't respond to her daughter. She glared at Moonclaw, for whatever reason because one thing that she knew was that one death was not responsible by the badgers..

Tumblepaw followed her Mothers glare, " What is it? " Tumblepaw repeated. " Badgers, I hate those things.." murmured Moonclaw.

Gingerpool looked up at her leader. "There was one death that wasn't responsible for the badgers" she murmered, daydreaming, stuck in the past. She kept staring at Darkstar.

Darkstar lifted her head. "Hmm?" she said, clearly alarmed. She to looked at Moonclaw.

Moonclaw shrugged, he didn't know what it was. Moonclaw looked at Tumblepaw, who looked at her mom, she was worried.

Gingerpool cleared her throat. "Darkstar, you must know" she said, hoarsely.

Darkstar looked at her paws. "I killed someone" she said, refering to Gingerpool's daughter.

A cat appeared at the gorse tunnel of Thunderclan. "I'm not dead" it said plainly.

Everyone turned to look at her.

The most prettiest cat ever seen. A warrior by the name of Speckletail.

And a shivering kit stood next to her by the name of Berrykit.


Darkstar stared. "W-w-what?" she stuttered, leaping down from the high rock. She glanced nervously at Gingerpool, who was frozen in her tracks.

Moonclaw and Tumblepaw followed her gaze, " Wha!?" Tumblepaw gasped.

Darkstar announced. "I thought I killed..Speckletail..but I guess I didn't.." she said.

Speckletail cleared her throat but it still sounded a bit hoarse. "Darn right you didn't" she muttered.

"You think you can kill me and banish me from Thunderclan..WELL YOU'RE WRONG" she shouted.

Berrykit whimpered. Gingerpool wrapped her tail around Berrykit, who felt warm.

Moonclaw looked at Darkstar and then at Gingerpool. What was going on here?

Tumblepaw saw Moonclaw's confused glances at Gingerpool and Darkstar. She didn't know what was going on either. " Mommy.. please explain! " Tumblepaw pleded.

Gingerpool nodded. "Sure" she said, still nodding.

"Long ago, when there was huge clans packed with cats, there was a big fight. Now, Darkstar was just a kit then, her name was Darkkit. I was also a kit then, Gingerkit. But, the problem was that during the fight, many of the kits wouldn't stay back in the nursery. What I did was, I tried to keep Darkstar back in the nursery, but she left. Darkstar and I were good friends back then" she said, pausing to take a glance at Darkstar. The only sound made was the slight panting of Speckletail. She continued, "...So, since everyone was either busy fighting, worrying or busy, people were just not noticing Darkstar as she scampered out of camp. I went after her and then that's where Speckletail came in. Speckletail was Specklekit back then, and Speckletail was there and she talked to us for a bit. Since Darkstar was my best friend, she would've done anything for me. So, when Speckletail jumped on me, supposedly Darkstar killed her..But apparently not?" she said, taking a huge breath.

Speckletail laughed hoarsely, almost wildly. "That's right, Gingerpool" she said.

Berrykit whined.

"Then who's that?" asked Darkstar, pointing her tail at Berrykit.

"My kit" said Speckletail.

"And the mate?" asked Darkstar.

Speckletail looked down.

[Should we have Moonclaw sort of mated with Speckletail a long while back when they were apprentices? But he forgot about it or something?]

( Sure, makes the RP REALLY interesting!)

Moonclaw looked at Speckletail and at Berrykit. He stared at his paws, then looked at Darkstar, Gingerpool and Tumblepaw.

" Woah." Tumblepaw said. Tumblepaw saw Moonclaw cast a glance at everyone, even her. Tumblepaw returned the glance with a confused look.

( Wait, didn't Tumblepaw really like Moonclaw, like alot, ohh.. I wonder whats gunna happen when Tumblepaw finds out..)

[Great! Do you still go on WI, Moonclaw? I do.]

Speckletail didn't tell.

Berrykit was beautiful. A mixture between two great Thunderclan cats.

Speckletail padded up to Gingerpool. "It's nice to see you" she purred. She glanced at Moonclaw...remembering.

Berrykit mewed and scuffled to Moonclaw. "Papa" she said.

" Hello," Moonclaw said quietly and softly. " How are you? " Moonclaw asked to Speckletail and Berrykit quietly.

" Papa? " Tumblepaw repeated, dazed and confused. She walked up to Moonclaw and Speckletail, " What does the Kit mean, Papa? " Tumblepaw asked looking into Moonclaw's face.

Moonclaw ducked his head, " Let Speckletail explain..." Moonclaw murmured softly.

[Cool, cool. I do]

Speckletail looked down too. This was a soft spot..for the both of them. "Moonclaw and I mated a long time ago. This is Berrykit. Our kit. The rest of the litter" she said quietly, looking at her stomach, "Hasn't been born yet" she added, her voice low.

Gingerpool looked at Berrykit, who continued to get Moonclaw's attention.

Moonclaw nodded slowly. The rest of the litter hasn't been born yet.. Moonclaw thought. He looked at Berrykit, Speckletail's kit, his kit. Moonclaw purred at Berrykit and looked at Tumblepaw.

Tumblepaw didn't know how to feel at that moment. Did she feel furious or just mad, did she feel gloomy or just plain sad. She couldn't take the news in, she had really liked Moonclaw, alot. She couldn't take it, she bolted to the apprentice den, to think. She just sat there, looking at the group of cats.

Moonclaw felt terrible. He looked at Gingerpool, feeling guilty.

Speckletail padded over to Moonclaw, slowly. "Moonclaw" she said, in her usual angelic voice. "I feel bad for actually trying to settle this. I guess I didn't think about it enough" she said, picking Berrykit up by the scruff on his neck. She turned around and padded out of Thunderclan, Berrykit squealing for her Daddy.

Gingerpool wasn't sure what to say or what to do. Darkstar seemed about the same way. When Moonclaw, or anyone tried to go approach Tumblepaw, either Gingerpool or Darkstar would say firmly, "No". This all seemed to last for an hour, until everyone began moving again.

Gingerpool was still in shock when she waddled into the warriors den.

Darkstar said, "Moonclaw, I'd like to speak with you" when Gingerpool entered her den.

Moonclaw nodded slowly. His kit was gone, he had hurt Tumblepaw's feelings, he felt terrible. He padded over to Darkstar, a glum look on his face. " You wanted me, Darkstar." Moonclaw said sorrowfully.

Tumblepaw was done thinking. Speckletail had left, and Gingerpool was in her den. Tumblepaw padded over to her Mom, and snuggled close.

"Don't feel bad, Moonclaw. We can invite Berrykit and Speckletail back if you wish, and I'll speak to Tumblepaw. Just go get some rest.." she said, dismissing Moonclaw, she padded slowly to Tumblepaw and Gingerpool.

Gingerpool wrapped her tail around Tumblepaw, warming her and showing that she loved her, a lot.

Darkstar cleared her throat. "Tumblepaw. Moonclaw feels really bad. That was the past- this is the future. Speckletail, Berrykit and the rest of the kits are the past" she said. It was so hard to explain for her.
