Whitetail trotted toward the camp wall. "Let's get going." she said.

Sparrowfeather followed, smiling at the sunset.

Whitetail zipped up her mouth and prepared for a silent,cold, tiring night. She settled down to watch the warm colors fade from view, and the pale sky to turn to blackness.

Sparrowfeather shivered as a cold wind swept through the camp, and blackness engulfed the night.

Having eaten, Firefur went to his place in the warrior's den. He settled down comfortably, thinking of his own silent vigil. At least those two had eachother for company. He'd had to sit, in the middle of winter, on his own in the snow all night. Then, before any more thoughts could form, he was asleep.

Whitetail edged closer to Sparrowfeather, gently touching his soft pelt (at least soft to her) to warm them both up.

Sparrowfeather smiled, and looked up at the starry sky.

Whitetail knew that although this night was frosty, the feeling inside of her, the warm fire would keep her flame from burning out. She would be here, sitting next to Sparrowfeather, icy winds whipping around them.

Sparrowfeather felt his fur touching Whitetail's and smiled softly. They couldn't talk, but.. Just being here with her, was just so amazing.

Whitetail pressed a bit closer to Sparrowfeather. She knew she would never have the words to describe what she felt inside. But she knew it was a wonderful feeling.

Sparrowfeather watched the sky, until it started to turn lighter and lighter. Dawn was soon upon them.

Whitetail loked at Sprrowfeathr warmly. Soon, her toungue wold be released.

The sky brightened more, and Dawnstar came out of her den. She looked at the two, "You can talk now." She grinned.

Stretching stiffly, Co-stripe came out of the warrior's den (He's better now). Walking into the clearing, he saw Dawnstar talking to Whitetail and Sparrowfeather. "Dawnstar, would you like me to lead the dawn patrol?"

Dawnstar nodded. "That would be great, Co-stripe, glad your better." Dawnstar smiled softly, her gray fur ruffled with the wind. Sparrowfeather grinned. "Finally we can talk!" He commented playfully to Whitetail.

Giving a sharp call to his son, he waited for him to appear. While he did so, he began to talk to Dawnstar. "I haven't seen Rainheart around for a while. Is she OK?"

Shaking his head blearily, Firefur stumbled out into the clearing. "What, dad?"

"We're going on the dawn patrol. But we can wait while you wake up a bit."

Whitetail looked at Sparrowfeather. What a wonderful gift she had.

Dawnstar nodded, "I am sure she is fine," She said, smiling.

Whitetail unzipped her mouth. "The night was very long. I have to admit, I'm a bit impaitient..." she said.

Sparrowfeather grinned, and his pelt brushed Whitetail's. What a wonderful thing he had. "Yes, it was a bit long wasn't it. The sky was beatiful, wasn't it?"

"Yes, I've never really taken time to watch the sky...It's lovely." she said. Then she mumbled so only Sparrowfeather could hear. "Especially with you."

Sparrowfeather smiled softly. "It is beautiful, but not as beautiful as you." Sparrowfeather commented.

Whitetail blushed. "You know, I've never noticed how soft your fur is..and smooth. Until now. It's much better then moss." she whispered.

Sparrowfeather nearly broke into a fit of hysterical giggles, he was so nervous, he wasn't exactly very good with girls. "Your pelt is soft and so pretty as well." Sparrowfeather siad, keeping a straight face.
