Medincine cat contest-Mosskit's Rippleclan

" Uh huh." Stormkit mumbled tiredly.

( Hey, I started doing research on my presedent for the report and I found that John Tyler vetoed 10 bills. Wow, right?)

Ripplestar slipped away toward the woods.... When she came back she had caught two mice a squirrel a rabbit and a sparrow she dumped them in the freshkill pile and went to check on Stormkit.

Stormkit was awake and was slinking toward a rabbit. She stepped on a twig and the rabbit bounded away. " And it was plump too.." Stormkit murmured sadly.

"Stormkit I told you to stay in the nursury" Ripplestar meowed sharply.

Stormkit snapped around and saw Ripplestar. She gave her ' I'm sorry' look and pouted. " I'm sorry, I was trying to catch that rabbit for you.." Stormkit murmured.

"Thanks Stormkit I want you back in the nursury I'll take you hunting later." Ripplestar meowed

Stormkit perked up a bit. She padded over to the nursery, her head still down a tad bit.

Ripplestar padded in after her carring two mice. Ripplestar set a mouse in front of Stormkit and began to eat her's.

Stormkit gulped down her mouse hungerly. " Will I ever be a apprentice? " Stormkit asked, licking her whiskers.

"Someday Stormkit" Ripplestar mewed then let out a stressed sigh.

Stormkit nodded.

Ripplestar murmered under her breath "I really need to get more clanmates I need a deputy." Ripplestar left the nursury and padded toward her den. The den was a rocky cave on a pile of large boulders. There were cracks in the boulders so she could pull herself up to the entrance of her den. Ivy was stregthed over the roof to keep out the rain. Ivy, bushes, and bramble were across the entrance to protect her from the wind and attack. The inside of the den shaded and cool. Her nest was made up of moss, feathers, and Moorland wool. Ripplestar curled up in her nest, dropped her head into her paws, and drifted off to sleep.

Stormkit looked after Ripplestar. Stormkit yawned and settled down.

After a few hours Ripplestar woke up she streched and trotted into the nursury "hey Stormkit I promised to take you hunting it's time to go." She meowed

Stormkit jumped up excitedly. " Lets go!" Stormkit mewed. She started out the nursery, hoping Ripplestar wouldn't stop her.

"Do you want to go by the river or in the forest Stormkit?" Ripplestar meowed

" River!" Stormkit mewed, stopping for Ripplestar. Stormkit didn't need to stalk to catch fish.. so Stormkit figured river would be best.

Ripplestar called to Stormkit "hop on!" she layed down so Stormkit could hop on her back.

Stormkit hopped on, slipped a little but got her footing again. She layed sprawld(<- BAD Spelling, I know) out on Ripplestars back.

Ripplestar trotted toward the river as they got close Ripplestar went faster. When she reached they bank of the river Ripplestar told Stormkit "ok hop of and I'll show you how to catch fish."

Stormkit hopped off and landed near the edge of the river. " Okay!" Stormkit chimed.

"Ok Stormkit sit at the edge and lean back slightly so the fish don't see you." Ripplestar meowed.

STormkit sat and cast a long shadow on the water, fish avoided her. " Is this right?" Stormkit asked.

"Other way Stormkit" Ripplestar meowed.

Stormkit moved, not casting a shadow anymore, " IS this good?" Stormkit asked.
