The Story of Legend

The lion howled in pain and roared, he was bleeding badly. He was too hurt, and he limped away in defeat. Branch was stunned, too stunned to speak. His eyes had locked with Cathrine's, and it felt.. Somehow.. Right.

Catherine then became aware of Branch. What was that strange feeling she felt?

"Uh. So." Branch said lamely, he was so confused right now..

Catherine didn't have anything to say, but she wanted to say something. So she did. "Hi." she whispered, feeling lame.

"Hi.." Branch trailed off, he wanted to break the awkward silence that followed, but couldn't. "Lets go." He said, and started walking,

Catherine smiled weakly, then followed him.

Branch's tail drooped, and the feeling he had sparked inside. What was it? He knew what it was, but didn't want to admit it. Love.

Catherine knew what was happening. NO, no, not now! I can't fall head-over-heels now! Inside, she was desperatly trying to cage up the feeng inside, but it was about to burst through.

Branch knew it, as soon as he saw her. No. No, this couldn't be happening. He had been in love once, but he had been hurt badly, and didn't want it to happen again.

Catherine looked at Branch. She didn't want this, Branch didn't. Why couldn't they stop it? They knew the pain it could cause, both of them. catherine didn't want it to happen to Branch. Please not him. Spare him! Catherine looked at Branch. He couldn't go through this because of her!

Branch, when he had been hurt, had felt like a gaping hole had been punched through him, for all to see. Scarred for life, but maybe he wasn't. Maybe he did want this.. Maybe Cathrine did too. He looked at her, his eyes a little wide, and smiling strangely. He shouldnt' WANT this, but he did, and there really was no stopping it.

Catherine panicked. Then a strange feeling sank into her. She calmed. She smiled at Branch.

"So, should we get going?" Branch said, his voice was strangely calm. He always was calm, when he was in the wonderful little thing called.. Love.

"Ok." she said, in a strange state of mind. what was happening to her? But she wasn't panicked. She couldn't panick. Catherine's fears ran away.

Branch hadn't felt like this in a long time, and when he had, it all had blown up in his face. He smiled. "Alright, lets go.." He said, and started walking slowly.
