Branchstar padded over to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a plump sparrow in his jaws. He sat down and quickly ate it. He saw Tawnyfur, the only cat in his Clan besides himself. " Hello." Branchstar murmured as he approached her.

Dewpool padded into camp with two mice she dropped thm on the freshkill pile. She selected a robin to eat and walked over by Branchstar she was deeply in love with him but was afraid that he loved Tawnyfur "Hi Branchstar" Dewpool stamered siting next to Branchstar and gulping down the robin. "Hello Tawnyfur" Dewpool meowed. "Hey Branchstar do you want to go hunting with me later?" Dewpool asked.

" Sure." Branchstar said, nodding to Dewpool. Branchstar smiled lightly at both cats.

Shimmertail yowled from the den, " Can someone come here?!" In a raspy voice.

Branchstar heard Shimmertail and looked at Dewpool, " Wanna come with me to help? " Branchstar said, " You probley have more expirence with medicine cat stuff then me." Branchstar added, a joking voice.

"Yeah I'll come" Dewpool mewed and smiled at Branchstar.

Branchstar nodded and lead the way to the elder den. The reached it.

" About time.." Shimmertail murmured under her breath.

" Whats wrong? " Branchstar asked kindly, even though he heard Shimmertail murmur under her breath.

" I have a HUGE thorn in my pad, it hurts badly." Shimmertail murmured. She lifted her paw to show Dewpool and Branchstar her bleeding paw, which had a big thorn in it.

Branchstar glanced at Dewpool, Branchstar had no medicine cat expirence.

"Ok Shimmertail hold still and let me see the paw" Dewpool mewed softly "Branchstar can you get some cobweb?" Dewpool mumbled as she pulled the thorn out of Shimmertail's paw.

Branchstar raced away and came back a few heartbeats later with some cobweb. " Here" Branchstar said, his voice muffled by the cobweb as he set it down.

Shimmertail mewed sharply but relaxed again. " Thanks." Shimmertail murmured as she waited for Dewpool top press the cobweb to her wound.

" You really should be a medicine cat..." Branchstar remarker softly.

When Dewpool finshed pressing the cobweb on Shimmertail's paw she asked Branchstar for help "Branchstar can you stay with Shimmertail so I can get more herbs?"

Branchstar nodded and stood next Shimmertail.

Shimmertail layed down, her paw stinging a bit.

Dewpool raced away nipped a few stems of marigold and raced back and began to chew the marigold when it was crushed Dewpool spat it on Shimmertail's paw. "The mariold will keep infection out" Dewpool explained.

Shimmertail nodded at Dewpool.

"Try not to move your paw Shimmertail" Dewpool meowed
